Configuration: Temperature Threshold

You have the ability to modify certain parameters relating to the temperature detection function of your Epicus-TS Device. This configuration will require some modification to your requirements. Please follow the instructions below to customize this setting. 

1. Download the base configuration file

2. Edit the file

To do this, you will need to open the file in a text editor such as Microsoft Word or Notepad

Replace the highlighted text with your requirements. 

Temperature Units: Use "F" for Fahrenheit or "C" for Celsius

Temperature Low Limit: At what temperature do you want the scanner to start recognition? 

Temperature High Limit: At what temperature do you want the scanner to detect an abnormal temperature?

3. Save edited file to flash drive

Save your temperature Configuration file to a flash drive. Be sure that the file name is setting.xml with no other characters in the name. If the file name does not match exactly, the configuration will NOT work!

4. Apply Configuration File to Epicus-TS Device

Plug in the flash drive into the USB port located on the cable whip of the Epicus-TS Device

The scanner will display updates as it detects the USB Drive

Once the setting.xml file is detected, the device will import the settings

Once complete, the screen will display "Import Setup Complete". Once this message appears, your settings have been applied and you can remove the flash drive from the device

4. Finished

Once complete, your scanner will not use the parameters specified in the file. If you have any problems applying this configuration, please submit a ticket at support.tempscanus.com
